Olga Mawougbe

A native New Yorker, Olga grew up in the Bronx and graduated from New York University with a degree in education. Migrating to Charlotte in 1989, Olga’s journey to Jesus is marked by an unyielding curiosity about God inspired by the Holy Spirit in the context of a non-Christian upbringing. In His sovereignty and His perfect timing, the Lord brought Olga to a saving knowledge of Himself after, alongside her late husband, she heard and first understood the gospel of grace in the early 2000’s.

A seasoned elementary school teacher, Olga is the mother of two adult children, a son and a daughter. She currently serves in Children’s Ministry at WCCF and enjoys spending time with others, learning about their stories, and looking for ways to encourage and foster relationships. Olga’s hobbies include reading, journaling, listening to music, walking for exercise, and watching competitive sports.
