Pastor David and Celia have served in various Charlotte churches for 16 years. In fall of 2020, the Yorans moved to West Charlotte to plant Freedom Church, a multi-ethnic, community-focused church. In Spring of 2022, when the founding pastors of West Charlotte Church (Charles McKnight and Drew Martin) left to lead other ministries, the Yorans and Freedom Church merged with West Charlotte Church, to become West Charlotte Church at Freedom. The Yorans have 6 Children: Isaac, Owen, Autumn, Eden, Asher Kai, and Upton. David has a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
